Blending tools on sai

This row box blending set is actually very fun, as it will also help introduce us to the next part of the tutorial ( where we shall even discuss the pencil tool and how to get pencil lines.) what makes these tools special is that they draw with texture in the brush the only draw with the default textures for sai, however  you can makes your own textures and draw with them as well. this will discussed later as well

-Acrylic : Traditional artist know the texture of canvas, and that acrylic points are apaque requare layers of colors. This tool shows a canvas texture in response to pressure from your tablet pen, The lighter the pressure the more visible the canvas is.
-paper: The best paper I can think of that it is trying to imitate is water color paper. which given after the last tutorial, no suprise it goest as a fine brush and applies a paper like texture to the area.
-Crayon : uses the same texture as paper, the only diffrence is how it is applied . Instead of trying to be a fine brush, it is now loosely spread in one big blotch.
-Blur : Unline Photoshops blur, I actually us this one on sai, it actually mixes the colors fairly nicely.

blending example

As you can see, there were just thrown on, and yet the texture shows up greatly, And the blur tool actually works , I wouldn't use it for real heavy works, but for simple things to get a softer blend on soft coloring.

Now if you want to change the texture, you most certainly can, i'll touch up on this now, and dive bit more into it next time.

Down here is the setting for the Acrylic tool. You have size , density and then the texture/brush, the brush is set to a fine round brush at 60% This mean the fine round edge is noticable . The higher it is, the more noticable it is.
blending seting
The second part is canvas at 80%this means the canvas is highly noticed and able to be see even when higher pressure is used. This drop menu here has quiet a few texture that one would find useful, but if not , don't worry , i'll show you how to upload your own soon.

And there you have all of your basic tools for Paint tool Sai. Yes , you can make your own and customize them to fit your needs, but it is good to know what something does before you start to mess with it.
If you have any question reguarding the tools at all, please don't be afraid to ask in the descriptions !

thank you for going see my works . ^^/
