Shading On Paint Tool Sai

when drawing we need  to mastering line arts , proportion , and understand the technique coz if our line art's is fix it's easy way to coloring it.  as i know many of mangaka or animator on japan use vector line arts', you know why  ? coz vector have easy excess for maintainance the complicated color layer. and look smoth to,    but if we want to draw CG with our sense of arts i think we must use raster type and paint such look likes on the canvas :D, we can use making line arts on paint tool sai and the coloring software use photoshop  :3 , its harder i think...  but look gorgeous :3






okey explanation about that pictures :

• Firstly i wanna draw hair, but that to complicated xD ,  but anyway clue here was we need makes sure all line was conected ,on the step 1,  Remember ! easy to paint bucket the area :D, and dunt forget to seperated line art's layer and colored layer.
• Between both lines arts layer n colored layer we makes shade I and shade II layer
• If you want understand the prosess we can turn off , cliping mask,  by uncheck it. and use marker tool to draw the shading, usualy darken than base color.  cuz we want to makes shadow , with layer clip we can reduce times for erase wrong shading brush.. ! :D.  that the best way for makes arts finish quick and look cool :p. 
• Anyway theres 2 option to makes shading on sai, first is use marker and the second was use select tool. we can use any type of brush for look Artistic
• And the important part 2 was addition,   tips here is . dunt to rush ur brush densityto much, resize your brush tip. combination type 1-9 and be creative ~
• and the last one was change saturation, on here i change to gold ..  someday i makes gold armor saint saiya with this technique ... :3 :3   xD~

 use selection tool, and paint bucket hair area for fastest way slap up the base color :p

Manga Coloring Technique phase 1

• When we zoom in, the vector pictures  have no change, but on raster images the detail we wiil not see it . that why if we want makes cover magazine, manga or design logo we need use vector images.

*) on paint tool sai, we can combine both of that type , and also if we want we can merge it together :D,

okey i want makes oga tatsumi cloth with vector, and baby beel,kurosaki ichigo  and that stupid takayui furuichi with raster xD, but i prepare makes face oga with half raster and vector.

what we need is resize first the image , maybe 200% wheight and height. twice real size. :)

after that makes new layer for oga, select vector buton like below. !


dont forget to chose on layer vector tool curve or lines, on here ima use curve tool :), stright line need lines tool. and curve for dynamic lines.. :)

1. if your stil hard to use your own imagination , we can use real pictures sample to makes line arts , 
2. now we want to draw horse here, so first up.  open your sai software.
3. drag and drop your real photo there ,
4. makes image scale 200% height and wheight
5. makes new layer on the top of real image
6. use pen tool use presure, bold and soft , carefuly, if your go wrong just press ctrl+z , undo your works,
7. makes new layer again to basic coloring.
8. use tool selection, and select brush 40% or lower, brush on the body of horse, and after that select brush tool and draw on new layer name with color layer.
9. for makes layer color darken and cooler you can duplicate that, Ctr+c  and makes new layer then press ctrl+v , more layer you create darken job you get it .
10. after line art finish. you can paint it :), more creative we can combine it with shadow and light ofcourse
11. in final works im use tools oil water tool , for shading the skin on horse and light use adition reference color stil chocolate.
12. and the last ima seting the seting saturation and brightnest contrast use feeling :3

Mean while on my place Asia is necessary  really hard to get best internet conection so if you wanna to have  nice stable conection, you need to use many tool. many of them is following ,specialy if we want play smoth online games ,  as i know :

• The last And very important is antivirus software ofcourse. :D

STEP 2 : Makes New Layer On paint tool sai.    use Brush Tool and set Brush Type Rough Round 1 or Rough Round 2 for makes lager strip layered hair .  and if u want to makes the point of ur hair look sharp, we can use brush type pointy or more sharpen we can use pencil tool. and MIN SIZE seting very tiny , and set the color black.  and dunt forget use ur style ; )

we need to makes shiny efect use New layer adition and set the light brush combine Fine_pointy , Fine_holow_Fine_round1,Fine_round2,   GACHA.... Glowing White Efect on hair.. :)

• To  makes shading skin such like CG profesional you need Skin Tone  , combination this color can makes realistic skin,   from light to dark...   to makes all blended you need tool  'oil water tool'.   just copy this picture to paint tool sai and take color reference , ^^ and remember train hard >  <  use ur feeling. . . ^^
